CAMILLE D.C. SUTTON
Camille Dias Cucjen Sutton, a native of Shreveport, Louisiana, began dancing at age 3 for genu valgum “knock-knee” physical therapy, continuing her training with Louisiana Dance Theatre under Carol Anglin and Dianne Maroney-Grigsby (Alvin Ailey Soloist), performing works by Robert Battle and Christopher Huggins.
She studied at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire for Dance in London, and received her B.F.A. in Dance Performance and English in 2014 at Southern Methodist University. She has performed works by Martha Graham, Jawole Willa Jo Zollar, Shen Wei and Bill T. Jones. She’s worked with Ad Deum Contemporary Dance Company in Houston, TX directed by Randall Flinn, performing works by Randall Flinn, Durell Comedy, Steve Rooks, and Vincent Hardy. Since then, she’s performed with Chadash Contemporary Dance and done a variety of commercial work represented by Page Parkes Talent Agency.
This is her third year dancing with Zion Dance Project. She’s incredibly grateful for her husband and to be a part of this #movementthatlightstheway.
