The Summit is an immersive, spirit-filled dance experience crafted for professional, pre-professional, and emerging artists who desire to merge technical excellence with deep spiritual formation. FAQs
What do I wear? Is there a dress code? Hair requirements? Shoes?
At Winter Series we do not have a dress code.
For hair, we just ask that hair is out of face for all classes and rehearsals.
Wee simply ask all dancers to respect the style of dance you may be practicing each day. Meaning, on a day I take ballet I will want to wear form fitting clothes which could be tights and leotard, bikers, leggings and a tank top, etc. We do ask that everyone bring a pair of ballet shoes, tennis shoes, and socks you love to dance in for the workshop!
What do I need to bring with me?
Aside from clothes and daily necessities for class, you may also want to pack:
Foam Rollers, Massage Balls and other Body Care Needs
Water Bottle, Snacks and Food for Lunch/Dinner (there is not a refrigerator or microwave at the studio)
Journal & Bible for Speaker Sessions
How long is the dance day?
Each day will be different so be sure to review the schedule outlined above!
Will there be auditions for the 2025-2026 Season?
Yes! There will be an in person audition following The Summit on Sunday, March 9th! If you are interested in auditioning be sure to register for the free audition. This is a separate registration than The Summit.
Does ZDP provide housing?
Unfortunately at this time ZDP is unable to provide housing for participants. All dancers will be responsible to arrange housing.
Do I need access to a car? Is public transit an option?
If you do not have a care, Uber and Lyft are always a great option for the weekend. Public transportation in Dallas is not always the most dependable, so staying close by to the studio may be helpful if you don't have a car.
Do you have to be a Christian to attend?
No. Everyone is welcome to the table! During our events we set a table for all to come and feast on the joy and freedom that shines from Zion. So if you are looking for a cultural/spiritual exchange, this may be for you! Come and join us at the table!
