December 27, 2021-January 1, 2022

This winter, Zion Dance Project offers dance artists the life-transforming experience of renewing their identity, purpose, and performance in dance. Join the movement lighting the way.

Zion Dance Project Winter Series is a workshop that connects hand-selected, dance artists with influential speakers and choreographers from around the world.

ZDP equips every kind of mover at various stages of their career and exploration by providing the spiritual skills necessary to walk in their identity and purpose, by establishing their call as a sacred dancer, and by enriching them with new perspectives to what it means to dance for God.

In addition, the project facilitates a sense of family between countless dancers by nurturing an invaluable network of professional peers.

ZDP Winter Series is committed to facilitating and showcasing the work of today’s up-and-coming faith-filled artist.

If selected, the dancers live a unique and intense experience, working closely with other professional, pre-professional and beginner dancers.

During the week, dancers demonstrate their abilities in the context of master classes and rehearsal while exploring the incorporation of their faith throughout the creative process.

The artists are guided, not only to learn movement, but also to incorporate their faith through His presence in the studio.

This structure is highly unusual in the context of the everyday rehearsal process of a dancer. We believe there will be a revival movement in the field of professional dance and in the church as a whole where more artists begin to glorify and offer their gifts back to the Creator.

In addition to studio classes, movers will receive teaching and impartation on topics such as identity, purpose, inner healing, intercession, prophecy, deliverance, and spiritual formation.

These guest speakers are powerful and well-equipped in their teachings, selected based on their experience in the field of ministry. Participants will have the opportunity to engage and ask questions with speakers as well as receive mentorship on their spiritual journey.

The one-week program takes place in December, where the dancers participate in a rigorous schedule composed of of eight-hour days. The day consists of dance classes, lectures, rehearsals, and creations.

Each day, morning technique classes are offered with genres such as ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz, and more. Throughout the week, the dancers explore different spiritual artistic approaches and choreographic processes in the work and growth of the dancers.

This schedule fosters each individual’s  development by creating an atmosphere to learn new skills and the activate a deeper level of faith and dance. Evenings are filled with events, outreach performances, and showings.

As a part of this year's Winter Series event, all participants will have the opportunity to attend UPPERROOM's Maranatha, New Year's Conference. More info on this event is coming soon!
