Audition for Zion Dance Project

Zion Dance Project is inviting professional dancers who feel ready to deepen their practice — artists who are not only technically refined, but curious, embodied, and searching for work that asks more of the whole self.
​
We are seeking contemporary dancers trained in ballet, modern, and contemporary forms who are drawn toward responsive partnering and collaboration, somatic awareness, and movement that emerges from presence rather than performance alone. Our work lives at the intersection of rigorous contemporary practice and spiritually grounded embodiment, forming artists who move with clarity, depth, and lived authenticity.

This is more than an audition. It is an invitation into a shared practice — a space where dancers are challenged, supported, and shaped through creative research, collaboration, and meaningful artistic process. Many who arrive discover not just a company, but a place to belong and transform.

We will be holding a live audition in Dallas, TX on Saturday, April 11, 2026.

This is a great way to meet our directors! Everyone who auditions will be considered for available positions with our Company and the AXIS Artist Development Program.
Register for the audition by completing the application form below. There is no audition fee.

Dancers unable to attend the Live Audition or Summer Series are still encouraged to audition . Simply submit the form and select “Unable to Attend,” and your materials will be reviewed for consideration.
Principal, Professional and Emerging Artists
Check out Summer Series 2026. ​Over 80% of our company artists participated in a Summer Series before being welcomed to the company! This is a great way to both audition for ZDP and be immersed in the ZDP creative process and culture.

If you feel drawn to be considered for Season 10, your Summer Series application may also serve as your audition. Simply indicate this within the application form — both audition pathways are equally valued. Dancers are also welcome to attend the Live Audition; if so, please be sure to register separately for the live audition.

In Season 10 we are launching our NEW Artistic Development Program - AXIS

Our 9 month program is a great place for emerging contemporary dancers to transform their skills and artistry. This will be a space for dancers to develop their artistic voice and cast vision for a career in dance.
