ZION DANCE PROJECT Presents

ZION on ZION

IMG_6050.CR2

A Special Program

What happens when the artists of a house creates from the house?

When choreographers and dancers who have walked together all year… turn toward one another to release what God has been forming in the secret place?

Zion on Zion is more than a show.
It’s an intentional and sacred offering—a culmination of intimacy, trust, prophetic revelation, and Spirit-led artistry.
This is family creating with family.

Each piece is a unique expression of the Spirit’s voice — A final burst of glory as we close Season 8 with awe and praise.

Thank you for joining us for this powerful culmination of our season, where Zion rises on Zion — One body. One voice. One sacred night.

"For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:

a time to be born, and a time to die;

a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;

a time to kill, and a time to heal;

a time to break down, and a time to build up;

a time to weep, and a time to laugh;

a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;

a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

a time to seek, and a time to lose;

a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

a time to tear, and a time to sew;

a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

a time to love, and a time to hate;

a time for war, and a time for peace."
Ecclesiastes 3:1–8

“Tov Meod” presents God as the ultimate Creator, capable of bringing order out of chaos. The Hebrew word tov, meaning “good,” appears six times in Genesis 1 at the end of each day of creation. The idea is repeated to emphasize God as creator of good things and is echoed in other scriptures such as Ephesians 1:11 and Romans 8:27-28. God allows chaos and mess
during the process of creation, but ultimately brings everything back into order according to His plan.

This work explores the creation story, beginning with the Trinity as described in John 1, followed by the Genesis 1 account of the days of creation. It finds resolution in the eternal invitation to Sabbath rest - the state we were create to live in. On the sixth day of creation after God had called everything around Him good, he created man and called him “tov meod” meaning very good. Everything God created and allows to happen on the earth falls under the umbrella of His sovereign plan to restore us to intimate rest with Him.

In all things may we learn to look to God and recognize that what we perceive as chaos, He
declares as tov meod.

JOURNEY TO TRUST SUBLIME
Choreographed by Rebecca Hunter

Performed by Kevin Dakake, Jessica Lohr, Anna Lee McLelland, Hayden McLelland, Gabriel Francisco Richardson, Victoria Trimble

Music by Jordon Smith, David Brymer, Yo Yo Ma and Mark O’Connor

Lonely. Broken. Filled with shame.
How can one open their heart again?

Amidst the darkness, Light comes in—
true Light, pure Light, His Light.
Light captured in the eyes of the Savior.

As He is allowed to enter,
walls of a barricaded heart begin to fall.

He is here. Transformation is now inevitable.

A heart once shattered is now whole. The sorrowful spirit is now beaming with joy.
The Bride who was bound is now free among the others touched by His grace.

“Who is this coming up from the wilderness leaning on her beloved? ~ Song of Songs 8:5a

This is Trust Sublime

The transcendent excellence and inspiring awe that comes from a fully surrendered heart that trusts in the Lord.

15 Minute Intermission

“And every priest stands daily at his service, offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But when Christ  had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, waiting from that time until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet. For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.” Hebrews 10:11-14

That which was once offered continuously but was never enough, now fulfilled by One greater – He invites us in. Come, priests, to the great High Priest.

CHILDREN OF LIGHT

Music by We Saw Lions, Jamie Stevens, Trevor Moontribe, and spoken word by Justin Paul Abraham

Children of Light is a celebration of life in Christ and Christ in us. What does it mean to be seated in heavenly places in Christ, or to be crucified in Christ, for “it is no longer I who lives, but Christ lives in me.” (Galatians 2:20)

Step into the inner life of believers, where the light of Christ radiates in and out of their bodies, truly walking in the light from within.

I SOUGHT HIM IN THE NIGHT
Choreographed by Kayla Franklin

Performed by Ashlee David, Ally DesJardins, Emma Hughes, Anna Lee McLelland, Kiana Montgomery, Julie Shilling, Victoria Trimble

Music by Benjamin Clementine & Csardas Vittorio Monti \ Rohan De Silva

In the hush of waiting, she dreamed—of His voice: clear, calling, close.
But the hour came sooner than she expected—startled awake, she found herself unready.

Her hands reach out—trembling, yearning.
Her steps falter between love and fear,
hope and unworthiness.
And still, her heart cries,

Maranatha—Come, Lord Jesus.
